December Currently!

Currently's, by Farley, have quickly become my most favorite blog day of the month and one of my most favorite classroom activities. I love things that make you think!! I have been giving these to my 3rd graders each month.  It is a great activity to practice writing and reflecting!

So CURRENTLY in my life....I'm listening to my 10 year old, Lily, working very hard on her Christmas List today! I'm cracking up! She's printing pictures (hubby just about had a fit when he saw the ink she used!) and recording her list on her iPod. She is not the type of kid that wants toys or video games....she just wants clothes, shoes, and anything zebra (her lastest obsession).

We visited Disney (just a 3 hour drive north) this past weekend and Lily was part of the ABC taping of the Disney Christmas parade. Boy was that a thrill for all of us! (If you watch that parade Christmas morning she is in the group that performs a dance from the play Newsies.) I am so proud of her hard work and dedication! I LOVE that we were able to provide that opportunity for her.

I'm thinking, wanting, and needing to work on the holidays, blogging, and TpT! How will I fit it all in??

For my RAK, the lovely ladies in my cafeteria deserve acknowledgement this holiday season. They are one group that works hard at my school and I think sometimes we overlook them. I want to do something that will make them feel special and show how much I appreciate them. I'm not sure what so if you have any ideas please share!

I can't wait to hop around some blogs today and find out what is CURRENTLY happening in your life!

    1. Thanks for stopping by Hailey! I love using Currently with the kids. They aren't used to really expressing what they are thinking about. It's fun to share mine too!

  2. I need to come up with something to do for our cafeteria staff too. Last year the kids made handprint angels and wrote "You're such an angel!". They came out really cute-I'm not sure we can top that this year! Glad to find your blog! :)
