G is a tough letter, but I have to say GO TO DISNEY. I was born and raised in Florida and when Disney opened in 1971 (yes I was living, but I was little! LOL!) my parents took us. We lived in Cocoa Beach at the time, so it was only about 90 minutes away. I remember getting closer to the park and my mom saying, "I can see the castle". She couldn't, but she made me believe she could, so therefore I could! I still have the first souvenir my parent's bought for me:
Isn't he cute....missing eyebrow and all!?
My middle initial is C. I'm going with COLLECTION. I LOVE me some Disney stuff! Now I wouldn't say I'm a "collector". I don't have vintage stuff and I don't scour the internet looking to buy things. These are just souvenirs and toys that my kids bought on our trips. My whole playroom is all Disney. The piece I love the most is the painting. I had an artist from Etsy paint my dogs at Disney...it's one of kind and that's why it's my favorite. I gave it to my family one Christmas.
The Keep Calm is not a poster in my house...it's just my screen saver on my phone!
These are a special part of my "collection". My niece worked at Disney as part of a graphic design program. These over sized pins are something she designed. She made one for each princess. The outside is stain glass looking and then you open to reveal the princess and prince. Love these!
Another SUPER special Disney memory happened this past December.(I blogged about this once before. Sorry if you are rereading!) My daughter danced in the ABC taping of the Christmas Day parade. The parade aired on Christmas morning. The picture in the candy cane outfit was a parade through all of Magic Kingdom a few days before. The other photo is the shooting for the Christmas Day parade. They performed a song from the Disney play, Newsies. It was SO exciting. She wants to be a Disney dancer when she grows up which made this event really special. So as you can see Disney is in our veins!
My last name is also a C and I'm going with COFFEE! Venti extra hot skinny carmel macchiato is my favorite. I don't go to Starbucks everyday. Way to expensive. I make my own coffee everyday in my classroom (don't tell the fire marshall!). I do belong to a Starbucks club at school. We take turns buying on Fridays...something to look forward to.
So there ya have it! A little about me! Link up with Latoya and get to know your bloggy buddies a little more!
Hi Gina! I found you from Latoya's linky! I love Disney too! I wasn't quite alive when it opened (my birthday is 12/31/71) but ALMOST! I haven't been in ages but I am planning a trip back within the next year! I love the picture of your dogs in Disney! What a cute idea! I'm your newest follower! :o)
