Fiona's Luck by Teresa Bateman is an Irish folktale. Fiona has to find a way to restore the luck back in Ireland taken by the Leprechaun King.
I really like the illustrations in this book.
O'Sullivan Stew by Hudson Talbott tells about Kate who, like Fiona, has to save the day. Another fun Irish folktale.
Jamie O'Rourke and the Big Potato: An Irish Folktale by one of my favorite authors, Tomie dePaola. This is a fun tale of Jamie and how is tricked by a leprechaun (of course).
Lives of Extraordinary Women: Rulers, Rebels (and What the Neighbors Thought) by Kathleen Krull. This book is not one I would read aloud, but it makes a great resource.

My kiddos will be choosing famous women to research and using my All About Great Ladies Poster to organize their information. These make a perfect quick report or graphic organizer.
Check it out HERE in my TpT store.
Founding Mothers: Remembering the Ladies by Cokie Roberts and illustrated by Diane Goode. I LOVE this book. It tells the stories of the women behind the scenes of the Revolutionary War. It's the newest edition to my classroom and I can't wait to use it for our reports.
