Meet Me

Teaching has been my passion since I was in the 2nd grade. I've been at it for over 25 years in South Florida. My career has included teaching 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades with most years in 3rd and 4th. My current position is teaching a self-contained 3rd grade gifted/high achiever class. I love this population of kids. They keep me on my toes and thinking outside the box!

Outside of school you might find me at the beach, reading, crocheting, swimming in my pool, watching movies, playing with my puppies, enjoying all things Disney (especially going there), and just hanging out with my family and friends.

Besides being surrounded by wonderful friends, my family is my biggest support. My son plays water polo and my daughter's passion for dance inspires me. They keep us busy and on the go all week. Both of them work hard in and out of school and maintain high grades. I couldn't be prouder!!

Over 15 years ago, I met my husband at the school we were both teaching in.  We've been working in the same school ever since!

Our house is crazy with lots of talking, laughing, and 9 rescue pups to keep us very busy.

I hope you enjoy your visit to my little piece of cyberspace.

  1. Love your blog name. I'm over on the opposite side of the US on the Monterey Bay so we have lots of sand, too, but the ocean is too cold to swim in, alas. I love your blog design. Did you do it yourself or did you have someone you recommend?

  2. I too love your blog design and name. Check donors choose for writing grants and such. When there is a dollar match or a company is looking to sponsor projects(full funding). Once you get one IPAD check into Apple TV. I am not great at it, but it is amazing.
    Good luck!

  5. I feel so much better about our six dogs, we save one, Queen Lilly, from Pit Bull fighting in Texas. She came pregnant with 13 puppies! Who knew?! And 7 years later, we still have her and 5 of her children!
Good for you and all you do for those wonderful dogs!
