Two for Tuesday & Currently

Today I am marking down a brand new product...

All About Me Display Posters is a set of 8 posters all about getting to know students. Use as a back to school, get-to-know-you activity. Highlight a student each month and let them pick the poster they want to fill out and color. Perfect for the first week back activity, too.

The first 5 posters have a specific theme: sports, movies, photos (my fave), jungle, and newspaper. Three of the posters don't have a specific them but can be used throughout the year: Student of the Month, Student of the Week, and Kid of Character.

In my school, we focus on a character trait each month. My students vote (secret ballot, of course) on the student in our class they think shows that month's trait consistently and that student becomes our student of the month. They are pretty much spot on every time. I think it makes the recognition a little more special knowing you were chosen by your peers. I have a board set aside just to showcase that student.

My second product on sale today is Batty Biographies.
In this fun pack, I guide you through a mini-research project about bats. Perfect for October! It includes a pre/post test, reading passage, research organizer, bat poem organizer, rubric, writing paper, and more!  Check out the preview for a closer look!

Hope you get a chance to take advantage of some awesome Two for Tuesday specials today!!

It's the first of July and time for the wildly popular CURRENTLY linky with Farley at Oh Boy 4th Grade.

Yes, it's summer and I'm up and getting ready to head out the door to work. I'm training teachers this summer (hardest audience EVER!) on an a reading assessment called FAIR. I'm a little nervous about it only because I don't really know much about it. I have a great partner so hopefully between the two of us we can knock this out. I'll be working most of the month of July except for one week that I will be in NYC with my daughter and best friend. Lily will be attending Camp Broadway that week and we are super excited to be back in the Big Apple!! I think the rest of my linky is pretty self-explanatory...right?? Hope you all have a great day!!

**BTW...if you host a regular monthly/weekly linky party, please link it up under my page, Linkys I {heart}. I'm trying to collect all the fabulous parties out there to help myself and everyone keep track! THANKS!**

  1. These products look adorable! I love the way your students vote for the classmate that they believe showed the character trait of the month! How cool is that! I totally agree with you on a couple of things! 1) It seems that I, too, would rather blog than do a million things that I should be doing and 2) Teachers ARE a tough audience!! Camp Broadway for your daughter sounds AMAZING!!!

  5. Hey Gina,
I haven't seen your blog since you got the background updated - sooo cute! Love it. I'm going to the beach in 3 weeks and cannot wait. If I lived close to one, I'd boycott all summer work!!!!!
