January Linky Fun!

I'm linking up with Rebecca at Teaching First for a January Freebie Linky Party. I'm going to cheat a tiny bit....I'm going to link you to prior posts where you can find some winter freebies of mine in case you missed them. We go back to school tomorrow and some of you might, too. My January Freebies might help ease you back into the groove!

#1: Warm Winter House Project this is a fun relaxing project to work on the first day back. I always like to give mine something artsy to do!

#2: I was over the moon excited to see my Snow Much Fun Packet  featured in the Cornerstone's January's Best Teacher Freebies along with some other outstanding freebies from all grade levels. Check it out!

Link up today and share!

I couldn't resist this linky!
I think this is an important topic. Getting our boys into reading and finding books that appeal to them is so important! One book I love for intermediate students is called Guys Write for Guys Read by Jon Scieszka. This is a collection of short stories about being a boy written by a variety of authors. There are now several books in the  series.

The coolest part is there is a website called Guys Read. Be sure to check it out. It has a ton of books for boys. I love Ralph Fletcher's (my writing hero) new book, Guy Write. Ralph has worked with lots of boys to see what it is that motivates them to write. Boys like to write about "boy stuff"! We have to remember that!

Link up with Courtney at Swimming into Second or just check out her post on Boy Books!
